Editorial policy
This page sets out the rules the techreviewer.in Editorial Team works to. If a page breaks them, tell us at editors@techreviewer.in.
Sourcing
We prefer primary sources, in this order:
- Official bodies for rules and ratings: BIS (standards and certification), BEE (energy star ratings), DGCA (aviation rules).
- The brand’s own specification and support pages for specifications, warranty and service information.
- Amazon.in listings for availability and listing details. Where a fact comes from an Amazon listing, we say so, because listings are written by sellers and can change.
If we cannot check a fact against a source, we leave it out rather than guess. Pages that rely on specific sources list them in a Sources section.
Prices
We show price bands only (for example “under ₹50,000”), never live prices, discounts or price history. Current prices are shown by Amazon.in.
No paid placements
Nobody can pay to be included in, or ranked higher in, a guide. We do not accept sponsored products, sponsored posts or free-product arrangements. Our only income is Amazon Associates commission; see the affiliate disclosure.
What we have and have not tested
We do not hands-on test products. A page only says it is based on our own use if that is true and the page says exactly what was used.
Updates
Each guide and explainer shows an “Updated” date. That date changes only when the content changes, such as a corrected fact, a replaced product or a re-check that alters the page. A re-check that finds nothing to change does not change the date. We aim to re-check guides about every 90 days, and sooner when a product is discontinued, out of stock or a rule changes. This is an aim, not a guarantee.
Corrections
Write to editors@techreviewer.in with the page address, the statement concerned and, if you have one, a source link. We check it, fix confirmed errors and update the date. Where an error was significant, we note the correction on the page.
Use of AI
We use AI tools for research and first drafts. AI is not a source: every specification and claim is checked by an editor against the sources above before publication. AI tools are not used to invent testing, reviews, quotes, ratings or people. Accountability for what is published rests with the editorial team.
