Realme just launched the Realme 5s, the mini updated version of Realme 5. The only big update on this phone is the camera, which is 48MP Samsung camera. It starts at Rs 9,999 and comes with 4GB of RAM. It comes with the in-built storage option of 64GB/128GB. In terms of design, size and hardware it is almost similar to the Realme 5.

Design
The Realme 5s has nothing new about the design. It is identical to Realme 5 in terms of design, size and hardware. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front of the display. The build quality is made up of plastic back and a plastic frame on the sides. The weight of this is on the heavier side which is 200 grams. It feels very good in the hands with 9.3mm thickness.

Display
The Realme 5s has an IPS LCD panel with a notch on the top. It has a 6.5″ display with 1600 x 720 resolution with 20:9 aspect ratio. The notch is very minimal at the top. The touch sensitivity is not good on this phone. Realme should have improved the screen quality on this phone but they opted to the old design and display which is a bit disappointing.
Camera
The 48MP main camera is only the big update in Realme 5s. Apart from that the ultra-wide, macro, depth remains the same as the older 5. The Realme 5s has a Quad AI 48MP Rear Camera and 13MP Selfie Camera. The main camera 48MP delivers really amazing photos in all conditions The quad-camera setup on the rear camera includes a 48MP Primary camera + 8MP Ultra-wide camera + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro.
Battery
The Realme 5s has a huge 5000 mAh battery. It will easily last you for two days even if you are a hardcore user. The HD+ display and the snapdragon 665 SoC combined with 5000 mAh battery gives excellent endurance. It comes with a 10W charger and does not support fast charging.

The Realme 5s is a good option to think about at the price range of Rs 9,999. The Snapdragon 665 SoC performs really good on this phone. The 48MP main camera really performs well in all conditions and you will not be disappointed. Realme should have opted for a good display and it should have supported fast charging. The fingerprint placement is not the perfect one and you have to stretch your finger to reach the sensor. Overall it is a good option to consider with a good camera and with good battery life.
