Bose soundbar 500 Design:
The Bose model SB500 comes in a black finish, which is the only colour available for this speaker. It is Designed slim and engineered powerful for a better sound experience. The Bose soundbar 500 is actually designed for smaller spaces, it’s thinner and shorter. It is 31 and a half inches wide and 2 inches high but with a similar design of its brother SB700 soundbar. It’s got an extremely high-end look. There is no glass on SB500 but it’s a nice-looking matte material that runs all the way across the top and the grill is made up of a single piece of perforated aluminium that covers the front and wraps around the sides.
The newly designed subwoofer that delivers a dynamic range of bass in a small, compact size. It is designed to be paired with the Bose soundbar with room-rocking sound. It connects wirelessly to the Bose soundbar for easier setup.
Bose soundbar 500 Connectivity & Alexa Voice Control Built-in:
The Bose soundbar 500 can play integrated music services like Amazon Music or your music library through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connections. It has HDMI output with Audio Return Channel (ARC) and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). The Bose SB500 has Consumer Electronics Control (CEC), Optical TOSLink and USB input.
The Bose SB500 has Alexa Voice Control Built-in. With the help of noise-rejecting 8 microphone array, you can play songs at the tip of your tongue with Alexa built-in and superior voice pickup. It’s supposed to be getting Google assistant and Apple Airplay 2 with a future update as well, so we’ve got a lot of potential flexibility. The rest of the controls are gonna be located on the supplied remote or through the Bose Music app. There’s also Bluetooth that you can take advantage of without using the app.
Bose soundbar 500 Sound Quality & Performance:
The Bose SB500 Sound Quality is great without a doubt. The Vocals are sharp and easy to distinguish as well. Mids and highs are really where this speaker shines, but bass, even without a separate subwoofer, is adequate. If you find you need more bass, you can always add the bass module 500 which does make a big difference. Since it’s a wireless speaker integrated with Alexa you expect it to play the songs from amazon music app by casting but it cannot which is a big let down in this soundbar. You can obviously connect your phone to the Bose soundbar 500 via Bluetooth to play music from your phone.
Overall, the Bose soundbar 500 design is sharp, the sound is great and the app is easy to use. It’s got some updates coming in the hopefully not too distant future that’ll make it even better.
